Good morning (in VA), Ann,
Your interesting questions need to be answered for all of us who learned LMA theories from Bartenieff's followers later in life. As a music major (prior to Juilliard), I had no problem with elements such as light vs. strong. The analogy is pianists' light or strong touch at the keyboard or pianissimo vs. forte. Of course, you're probe goes far deeper than that so I hope this will lead to some brilliant discussions. Thank you for bringing up an excellent probe.
