Whole Body Facing Upward or Downward

Whole Body Facing Upward or Downward

Ex. 1 below depicts lying on the back. Another way to describe that position is to say that the front surface of the body-as-a-whole is facing upward. How should that be written? Perhaps the idea of “surface” signs could be applied to the whole body. The “whole body” sign could be placed inside the sign for an area, as in Ex. 2. Or maybe the outside circle part of the whole body sign could be left out, as in Ex. 3. The indication could also be used to show someone facing downward (Ex. 4 or Ex. 5).
