Using Color in Motif Notation of the “B” Scale

In a recent class for the LIMS Weekend Certificate Program in New York, Nancy Brier and I experimented with using color and Motif Notation to clarify patterns in Transverse scales. The students seemed to find the notation helpful.
As an example, notation for the Right “B” scale is shown below.
